ACCESIBILITY
The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) is fully equipped to ensure accessibility for all visitors. The venue offers barrier-free entrances and step-free access throughout, with elevators connecting all levels for easy movement within the building. The venue is also fitted with accessible restrooms on every level. 
 
AIRPORTS
Vienna International Airport (VIE) is Austria’s main gateway, located about 18 kilometers southeast of the city center. Modern and efficient, the airport offers smooth connections to Vienna via public transport, including the City Airport Train (CAT). To reach the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) from the airport, the CAT is a convenient and fast option. The train runs non-stop between Vienna Airport and Wien Mitte/Landstraße station in just 16 minutes. For any transport discounts, visit our website here
 
APP
The IUIS 2025 Congress mobile app allows delegates to have access to all Congress data from any mobile device. The mobile app includes the scientific program, sponsor and exhibitor details, and additional information regarding the Congress. It is available on Apple Store and Google Play and supports smartphones as well as tablet computers.
 
ACCOMMODATION
Please visit the Accommodation counter in the registration area if you wish to book a hotel room or if you have any problem with your hotel reservation.
 
BANKING FACILITIES
The currency in Vienna is Euros. A cash machine is located directly at the main entrance of the ACV.
 
CATERING AREAS
From Monday, August 18 at 15:30 until Thursday, August 21, three food courts will be available for participants in the Exhibition Area (X5). At one of these food courts, you will be able to pre-order a warm lunch using a QR code. More information here.  On Monday, August 18 (morning until 15:00) and on Friday, August 22, the food courts will be located in the entrance hall.
 
CME DAILY SCANNING

To receive CME credits for your participation in the congress, please ensure your badge is scanned each day, starting August 18, at the self-printing terminals located near the Registration counters in the entrance area. After the congress, you will receive an email with a link to complete the online evaluation and download your CME certificate(s).

 
CME CREDITS
The 19th International Congress of Immunology, Vienna, Austria, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 26 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). 
 
CLOSING CEREMONY
The Closing Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 22, from 15:00 to 15:30. Prior to the ceremony, at 14:30, you are invited to attend a special closing talk by Nobel Laureate James P. Allison, who will speak on “Immune Checkpoint Blockade in Cancer Immunotherapy: Mechanistic Insights Provide New Therapeutic Opportunities.”
 
COFFEE BREAKS
IUIS invites delegates to enjoy two daily coffee breaks, held in the morning and afternoon. From Monday to Thursday, coffee breaks will take place inside the Exhibition Area (X5). The Friday morning coffee break will be held in the entrance hall on Level 0 (next to the registration area).
 
CONGRESS COURTESY AND CODE OF CONDUCT
In consideration of all congress participants, mobile phones should be turned off in all session rooms. Congress participants are also expected to refrain from the following:
  1. Inflicting personal threat or harm to any conference participant, exhibitor, or staff
  2. Inflicting damage to any property
  3. Preventing speakers from giving their presentations
  4. Engaging in political, religious, or other forms of public manifestation not related to the scientific content of the congress

EXCELL AWARD
The Excell Award recognizes outstanding research accomplishments of women immunologists. It The prize will be awarded in a special ceremony on Thursday, August 21 from 15:00–15:45 in Hall A.  The International Union of Immunological Societies proudly recognizes Dr. Arlene Sharpe for her pioneering contributions to the field of immunology and her inspiring leadership as a woman in science.
 
EXHIBITON AREA
Participants are invited to visit the exhibition located in Hall X5 on Level 0.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
The IUIS Secretariat cannot accept liability for personal injury, accidents, or loss of or damage to personal belongings of participants and accompanying persons during or as a result of the conference. Attendees are strongly advised to arrange their own adequate travel and medical insurance to cover medical treatment, accidents, cancellation of bookings, and any other potential risks. Please ensure that your insurance coverage is valid for the duration of the event.

LOST AND FOUND
Lost items can be collected at the registration area. Any objects found during the congress and not claimed will remain at the congress Venue.
 
NAME BADGE
A badge is required for admittance to all official conference sessions, as well as the Exhibition area. Each participant is asked to present the badge in order to gain access to the congress. The badge must be clearly displayed. Lost name badges can be replaced at the registration counter for a fee.

OPENING PLENARY AND NETWORKING RECEPTION
The Opening ceremony on Monday August 18 will take place from 14:00 to 14:30 in the Hall A, level 2. The Networking Reception will be on the same day from 18:15 to 19:15 in the Exhibition Area. Both events are free of charge to all registered participants.

POSTER WALKS
All poster authors need to be present at their poster to give a presentation during the guided Poster Walks. The guided Poster walks are scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:15 – 13:45. The poster schedule and number can be found in the online program, onsite In Hall X5 or in the App.

PUBLICATION FRONTIERS IN IMMUNOLOGY
IUIS 2025 abstracts will be published after the congress in the official IUIS journal Frontiers in Immunology. This multidisciplinary open-access journal is at the forefront of disseminating and communicating scientific knowledge and impactful discoveries to researchers, academics, clinicians and the public worldwide.

The Rising Stars initiative has been established to raise the profile of outstanding young professionals who have made significant contributions to the field and their community.

It is forbidden to smoke in any part of the Congress Venue.

To address any concerns, it is worth noting that Vienna is consistently ranked among the safest cities in the world, and the area surrounding the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) reflects this standard. Located in the modern Donau City district, the ACV benefits from strong public infrastructure and low crime rates. A police station is situated close to the venue, offering added assurance. In case of emergencies, the national police emergency number 133 can be dialed, with response times estimated at approximately 3 minutes.

SPEAKER CENTER (Business Lounge)
All speakers must report to the Speaker Center (Business Lounge) at least four hours prior to their presentation in order to hand over and check their presentation. The Speaker Center is located in the business lounge at the level 0 of the congress venue.

A satisfaction survey will be sent to you after the congress. This survey will help us better understand your needs and wishes and improve the next editions of the congress.
